Lessons Tailored to Your Needs
At Allegro Ma Non Troppo, we offer 45-minute and one-hour lessons to suit every student's pace:
- 45 minutes: Perfect for beginners and intermediates to build foundations, practice, and reinforce without overwhelm.
- 1 hour: Best for advanced levels to dive deeper into complex topics and refine skills.
All lessons are flexible and personalized, ensuring you progress smoothly on your musical journey.
Why 45 Minutes is Perfect for Kids
For young learners, 45 minutes strike the ideal balance between fun and focus. It’s enough time to:
- Explore musical concepts in a playful way.
- Engage in hands-on practice with interactive activities.
- Keep energy high with short breaks.
It’s the perfect duration to spark a lifelong love for music while keeping kids excited to learn!
What You Need for an Online Theory Lesson:
To make sure your online music lesson is as smooth and engaging as possible, here's what you’ll need:
Stable Internet Connection:
A solid internet connection of at least 10 Mbps will ensure your lesson flows without a hitch—no buffering, just music!
Quiet Space:
Find a quiet spot to play your instrument without interruptions. A little peace and focus go a long way!
Stave Notebook:
A Stave notebook is used for copying and writing music scores; it is a good helper for you to learn music!
A Device with Camera & Microphone:
Whether it’s a laptop, tablet, or smartphone, make sure your device has a camera and microphone so we can see and hear you. (Pro tip: A laptop is best for full-screen action!)
Headphones:
We recommend using headphones with a built-in microphone for the best sound quality. It helps you hear yourself (and us) clearly without distractions.
Policies
Inclusive Music Lessons for All Ages
We provide music lessons to all ages and abilities as a local, independently owned, community-based music school. Our Music Instructors are the best, and we strive to provide a payment guarantee for all lessons booked. Payment reserves the day and time for your lesson.
Maintaining Standards with No-Cancellation Policy
Allegro Ma Non Troppo has implemented a “no cancellation” policy for students to maintain this high standard of quality music education. This includes online and group lessons. This policy enables us to provide our instructors with a steady and predictable income that does not fluctuate weekly.
Â
Flexible Rescheduling for Early Notices
However, our cancellation policy does not apply if notice is provided at least 24 hours in advance. In such cases, students may reschedule their lesson within 5 days at the initially scheduled time. Failure to reschedule within this timeframe will result in the lesson being forfeited.
Â
Exceptional Cases for Makeup Lessons
Suppose an absence arises due to unforeseen sickness or a family emergency. In that case, the instructor will try to accommodate a makeup if a slot is available during teaching hours another time that week.
Â
Clear Refund and Credit Policy
While we understand that sports events, homework, exams, birthdays, travel, and illness might interfere with music lessons, we do not offer refunds or lesson credit.
Â
Teacher Absence Credit Policy
If an instructor or substitute teacher is absent, the canceled lesson will be added as a credit for next month.
